Hewlett Packard's Relationship with Debian

Bdale Garbee - Linux CTO, Hewlett Packard

This session will provide an update on HP's long relationship with the Debian project. This will include ways that HP incorporates Debian components in products we ship to customers, along with an update on support offerings for Debian on HP ProLiant servers.

About the speaker

Bdale Garbee is a computer specialist who works with Linux, particularly Debian GNU/Linux. He is currently the Linux CTO at Hewlett-Packard, and the current President of Software in the Public Interest. He has been a Debian developer since the earliest days of the project in the mid-1990s and served as Debian Project Leader for one year (2002-2003). He has served on the board of directors of Software in the Public Interest, since July 29, 2004, and was elected president on August 1, 2006.
